My friends children aged 2.5 and 5 are gorgeous kids. They are just unable to play by themselves. If I am around they want me to be playing with them all the time and its the same with her family they never get a break. I know the kids are kind of anxious as my friends husband and her are mid argument all the time and on the verge of divorce. Is this a sign of anxiety or what is the reason for them not being able to keep themselves occupied? Its like they are starved for attention and yearning for it all the time yet I dont think it is quite like that Im not sure.
Any advice? Ideas? Thanks

maybe your kids wants hear you happy and be with you and your husband. and kids wants to play with you and try something fun or interesting game or lesson to learn. maybe give a interesting book for them. also the kids are curious about emotions.
They’re probably just used to getting all the attention they want… kids will learn to entertain themselves if they need to, there’s nothing wrong with letting them figure it out on their own.
