I would have to say Boston Massachusetts. It has pretty scenery, parks to walk in and millions of things to do!!! Otherwise Portland would be great.
Take them camping! you can go to a nice campground that provides activities like swimming pools Mini golf horseback riding ect. and stay in a cabin if you dont like the outdoors, it keeps the kids busy and out of your hair most of the time.. just a suggestion!
Where are you from. I was raised in Portland and lived there for 33 years and just left 2 years ago. There is not much in Portland except maybe beaches and mountains wich I do miss since Houston is so flat. I would maybe take the kids to Washington D.C there is the Smithsonian Instute wich is big and does not cost money to get into and it would be fun plus educational. Now if you are looking to go to the Northwest I would go to Seattle there is much more to do in Seattle like pike place market and wharf on Alaska Way and you can catch a ferry and go out on the puget sound or to woodbey island, but if you have the money I would take the kids to D.C. for the culture and history of our country plus D.C. is also a neat and fun place. Well I am from Portland Oregon..born and raised and now live in Atlanta…why Portland? It’s pretty but in the summer not right now. Try San Diego or Disneyland….that’s better this season.
