anonymousgirlygirl asked:
There will be about a dozen kids ages 5-10 or so, all boys by the way-at my Supr Bowl party. It is too late to hire entertainment for them. What are some activities I can create for them? There are going to be 40-65 adults and I just want to make sure the kiddos enjoy themselves too and don’t get bored and into trouble. Please advise!!! TEN POINTS BEST ANSWER!!!

get them a separate TV and put them in another room with some children’s movies, or if you have 3 TV’s set one up for Videogames if someone has a console and the other for movies
Set up a room for them that they can watch movies, play board games and color. Just make sure that someone checks on them on occasion and you should be fine.
Flag football. Rent or buy a Nintendo Wii. Start a tournament on Dance Dance Revolution. Buy a bunch of nerf guns and play war. Super Bowl themed food.
Ask a neighbor/friend if you can borrow their wii or xbox for a while and just check up on them about every 30 min-hour to make sure they’re not jumping up and down on it. Only try that if you think they’re old/mature enough to handle it responsibly, but I can guarantee that would entertain them for a pretty long while.
Play some football, and offer prizes to keep them interested. Or maybe a scavenger hunt.
how about setting them up in a room of there own with some snacks they might like and a tv to watch the game or play video games if they want. and let them have there very own party… maybe pick and theme or something…. have your kids help you plan it and make it fun for them. have a score board and make them pick a number like from the scores of the game or like how many fumbles and what not and then have prizes for who ever guesses right.
Wow…what a full house=)
You don’t need to hire entertainment , but if you want a babysitter might be helpful, they can make sure the kids are having fun and she can prepare the materials and fun stuff and you won’t have to.
You can also make sure you have plenty of stuff to play with…even if it’s cheap $1 toys. Go to the dollar store and stock up on crayons, paper, clay (don’t do playdoh, clay doesn’t get into your carpet and it comes off your floors much easier), yoyos, cars, balls and anything cool that you see. My kids will play with Legos forever. My son recieved some spinning “fighting” tops from Santa this year and he and his best friend played with them for an hour!
You can also borrow video games from a friend (but make sure the kids are supervised so it doesn’t get broken) and don’t use your friends games, go and rent a few appropriate games…that way if they do get scratched you don’t have to have them buffed…
Have fun!
Boys= Balls.
Especially if they can play outside with little supervision. Several nerf footballs and maybe a kickball or soccer ball.
An inside activity could always be coloring- everyone loves to color no matter what age, you might have some of the adults getting in on the kid fun!
I guess it is a little to late to rent a moon bounce, they always work to tire out little boys.
A great way to keep them out of your hair- and your food it to make them their own food table with stuff like football shaped PB&J sandwiches, cookies, etc. This could be placed in a special room on a lower table or outside.
A separate TV with cartoon network or Nickalodian (sp?) on for them. Isn’t there a puppy bowl on some channel also?
Ok- I have exhausted all of my top of the mind ideas. Will come back if I think of more!
when i was little and my aunt got maried during the reception she had a seperate room for the kids (there was an adult or 2 to watch us) we had tv and movies, goodie bags, candy, coloring books and crayons, everyone got a happy meal. you could print out coloring pages, and hold a contest for the best. bubbles are always fun, sidewalk chalk if they will be outside, clay or playdough, paints and paper (the watercolor kind for easy clean up) paper football
board games or video games
There are always the easy options like a game room that would include a PS2, WII, or similar type games. You can also hire someone to sit in the room and sort of babysit and keep the kids busy with other games and activities. The real mesage that you want to give is that you care about the kids and the parents having a great time. Good luck with the party. I hope all goes well for you.
