Jamica asked:

I have been thinking about how so many of my peers (mid 20’s) are just doing enough to get by in life. They aren’t striving for bigger and better. As long as their bills are paid and they have food/entertainment money- they are happy. Is this because our parents rewarded us when we did the basics rather than when we went above and beyond? Should parents start rewarding their kids only when they do more than what is expected of them?

Dingo Warrior asked:

They pay kids with scholarships to entertain fans to make money, most of which gets reinvested in the sports programs to make more money.

All the while, they push kids into either athletic majors or sociology or something that requires little coursework. Many of them, like the University of Oklahoma, they are not even in with the rest of the students in their basic general education classes. They have sections of math English, history, and so on of just athletes.

Is this the business model of a serious learning institution or an entertainment company?

My point is that, if anyone found offense to russell brand, then they were probably in the age bracket of the “kids choice awards” and should have turned off the tv if they were that shocked…Isn’t the Point for the LIFE of the VMAs to be shocking, funny, crazy entertainment that each year pushes the boundaries of what is kosher? I know the fans of the Jonas Brothers are close to a war against the host, but really, if you are under the age where you CANT take a joke, Watch the KIDS Choice awards, right?

Even if you are a hard core Creationist, would you take your kids to see it just for the entertainment value?

Thanks in advance.

The party will be at our local elementary school. There will be tables and booths for several different local kids entertainment… (face painting, a guy drawing charactures, kids doing magic, etc…) We want to decorate some of these areas with interesting accent pieces.

Inquisitive asked:

Make it cheap, too.

We are students at University of California, San Diego are trying to develop a tool for better parenting. I will be glad if you can assist me by taking a small 10 question survey which will take about a minute to answer.
This survey is for parents who have children between age 5-18.
Following is the link to the survey

Thanks for your help in advance !
The device we are planning to make is like a lockable powerstrip with access control using proximity cards. It will be easy to install (less than 1 minute) and there wont be any programming required. We will have pre-programed cards (like 1hr per day, 2 hr per day, or unlimited bypass for parents) which kids can pop onto the powerstrip to gain access. Kids can wisely decide on how they want to spend their entertainment time across multiple devices. The daily budget will be maintained on the card and not on the power strip access adapters. Let me know if you have more questions or inputs.

I think it is hands down Ice Cube. This guy went to F the police to doing kids movies! He even made fun of MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice for doing what he is doing now! I think Gwen Stefani and Metallica are close.
